Easel is a visual design tool built for the web. Since the web is viewed in a browser, we believe it should be built in one too.

New Feature: Rich Text Editor

Today we’re happy to announce rich text editing. This has been one of our most requested features for the last several months. Folks asked for the ability to set links on arbitrary pieces of text, color text, add bullet points, and more. Now you can do all of these things with the new rich text editor.

Using the rich text editor

Using the rich text editor is simple. Whenever you edit an element (double click), the rich text editor will pop up above the element you’re editing.

The biggest change is that you can now bullet text within text elements. This eliminated the need for the list elements in the sidebar, so we took them out. To add bulleted text, drag in a ‘Body Text’ element from the sidebar, then click the bullet button in the rich text editor that pops up.
